Tack the tissue down with tape in a location that will be covered by the decorative paper or by another layer of paperboard. Fold the tissue neatly over the corners (you can use a letter opener to press it into the creases). Loosen the tissue paper enough to smear a thin layer of glue under the edge on the inside of the box, then smooth the tissue paper back down onto the glue. I used my finger to apply the glue, but you can use a cotton swab, toothpick, or whatever is handy.
Put a bead of glue around the bottom edge of the outer base piece and insert the reinforcing base piece. Clamp together and allow to dry.
Also put a bead of glue around the upper edge of the outer base piece and insert the base liner. Clamp, and allow to dry.
While you're waiting for all that glue to dry, you can cut out your paper. Each piece should be slightly smaller than the facet it will be placed on. In this case, the border is about 1/16".
Put out a blob of glue on your palette (or a scrap of paperboard) and spread it evenly and all the way to the edges on your first piece. Place it on the matching facet of the box. Repeat until all facets are finished.

Binding Options We can Saddle Stich, Wire bind, or Perfect Bind your booklet for you...which option is right for you?

    Saddle Stitched : is where two or more sheets of paper are bound together in the spine with two staples, folded in half. This method of binding is not viable for over 60 page booklets as they are too thick to satisfactorily saddle stitch, often bulging at the spine.

    Wire Binding : Also known as "Wiro Binding" this is where the spine of your booklet is hole punched and then has wire threaded through the holes to bind it, forming a coil at the spine. This is great for large documents.

    Perfect Binding : With this binding merthod the spine is glued and ends with a flat edge. Most large commercial books are perfect bound.

    Stapled : Some people require custom staple positioning (such as at the top, rather than side. We can cater to all your needs.

Gutenberg's press

Johannes Gutenberg's work on the printing press began in approximately 1436 when he partnered with Andreas Dritzehn man he had previously cardboard box instructed in gem-cuttingnd Andreas Heilmann, owner of a paper mill. However, it was not until a 1439 lawsuit against Gutenberg that an official record exists; witnesses' testimony discussed Gutenberg's types, an inventory of metals (including lead), and his type molds.
Having previously worked as a professional goldsmith, Gutenberg made skillful use of the knowledge of metals he had learned as a craftsman. He was the first to make type from an alloy of lead, tin, and antimony, which was critical for producing durable type that produced high-quality printed books and proved to be much better suited for printing than all other known materials. To create these lead types, Gutenberg used what is considered one of his most ingenious inventions, a special matrix enabling the quick and precise molding of new type blocks from a uniform template. His type case is estimated to have contained around 290 separate letter boxes, most of which were required for special characters, ligatures, punctuation marks, etc.
Gutenberg is also credited with the introduction of an oil-based ink which was more durable than the previously used water-based inks. As printing material he used both paper and vellum (high-quality parchment).
In the Gutenberg Bible, Gutenberg made a trial of coloured printing for a few of the page headings, present only in some copies. A later work, the Mainz Psalter of 1453, presumably designed by Gutenberg but published under the imprint of his successors Johann Fust and Peter Schffer, had elaborate red and blue printed initials.
The Printing Revolution The phenomenon of the Printing Revolution can be approached from a quantitative perspective which has its focus on the printing output and the spread of the related technology. It can also be analysed in terms of how the wide circulation of information and ideas acted as an "agent of change" (Eisenstein) in Europe and global society in general.
Mass production and spread of printed books The invention of mechanical movable typebrochure printing led to an explosion of printing activities in Europe within only a few decades. From a single print shop in Mainz, Germany, printing had spread to no less than 236 cities in twelve European countries by the end of the 15th century. As early as 1480, there were printers active in 110 different places in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, England, Bohemia and Poland.From that time on, it is assumed that "the printed book was in universal use in Europe".

Brochure printing create a positive effect!

Packaging a product is probably one of the last things on a product developer mind, and yet it is one of the most important. A potential customer evaluates a product by looking at the cardboard box it is in, and usually a larger box corresponds to increased value that the customer is getting.
Furthermore, a plain brown box with a product name scribbled on it will not entice the customer. Therefore, you will need printing to create a positive effect. There are two options that you can take:
Print the artwork straight over the box Use a standard, cheap box and place it in a printed sleeve The second option is a good idea if you're still in the prototyping or early sales stage and there is a possibility that the artwork or box shape may change. This way, the box and printing are separate and you can interchange at will. This is also a good option if you have multiple versions of product with the same packaging but for different markets and hence different artwork is necessary.

How to Make An Inexpensive Light Tent – DIY

Step By Step Process:
A) Take your box with a tape ruler and marker and measure in 2″ from the side of the box marking multiple points with your marker. When your done you will see your border, connect the points using your straight edge to where you should have a nice looking square/rectangle in the middle of the box with a 2″ border around it. Leave the top and bottom of the box alone as you will not need to mark it

B) Cut out the boxes you’ve drawn. Repeat that to the sides of the box where you have drawn the boxes. When you’re done, cut off the top of the box or remove the flaps on the top of the box. LEAVE THE BOTTOM INTACT!
C) Now take your Bristol board and make lines with your marker for every two inches 16 times. Then proceed to cut out 16 strips with your scissors.
D) Glue the paper strips into the box. Make sure the side with marker goes against the cardboard so it can not be seen.

E) Take another piece of Bristol board and cut is so the width is the same as the inside of the box and the length is much longer then the box.
F) Place the long piece of Bristol board into the box to where the piece curves to the bottom. Avoid creasing as it will show up in your photo. Cut off excess paper that is sticking out the top.

G) Cut your fabric to where it will cover the holes. Then cut a big piece to where it will cover the top of the box.
H) Tape the fabric to cover the holes in the box except the one that is facing your background. Then tape the top piece on.

YOU’RE DONE!
Now all you got to do is light the top of the box and start snapping away!

There are many variations you can do to get the photo you want. If you’re having a shadow problem I suggest lighting the other sides of the box. If you’re getting vignetting I suggest a lens hood or moving the lens more into the box. Photoshop could be a handy tool also! Since my lens and camera are not the cleanest I tend photoshop the dust that is sitting on or in my camera. I also adjust the levels so it’s brighter.
