Cardboard Box
Packaging a product is probably one of the last things on a product developer mind, and yet it is one of the most important. A potential customer evaluates a product by looking at the cardboard box it is in, and usually a larger box corresponds to increased value that the customer is getting.
Furthermore, a plain brown box with a product name scribbled on it will not entice the customer. Therefore, you will need printing to create a positive effect. There are two options that you can take:
Print the artwork straight over the box Use a standard, cheap box and place it in a printed sleeve The second option is a good idea if you're still in the prototyping or brochure printing early sales stage and there is a possibility that the artwork or box shape may change. This way, the box and printing are separate and you can interchange at will. This is also a good option if you have multiple versions of product with the same packaging but for different markets and hence different artwork is necessary.
